Muckheap is a fast-paced, messy and hilarious production for children that originally premiered in 2001. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the show in 2011, Polyglot created two new versions: La Ji Da Bian Shen in Mandarin Chinese, and this new production performed simultaneously in English and Auslan (Australian Sign Language), so that both Deaf and hearing audiences can enjoy it together. This bilingual production was developed in residency at Furlong Park School for Deaf Children. After this public performance, the new production will tour to metropolitan and regional Victoria for a season in Deaf and integrated primary schools. Polyglot Theatre’s Muckheap in Auslan and English Saturday 10 March, 2012 at 10.30am or 12.30pm Cromwell Road Theatre 27A Cromwell Rd, South Yarra, VIC 3141 Performed by (Coda) Jodee Mundy and David Pidd Tickets: $10 each Bookings: http://www.trybooking.com/BFBV More information: http://www.polyglot.org.au/muckheap_auslan

Dear Members, Friends & Colleagues, The CODA Australia Executive Committee is writing to you to provide you with an update on KODA camps and our future plans. During 2011 CODA Australia through the KODA Subcommittee conducted 3 KODA camps, 1 in Victoria, 1 in NSW and 1 in Queensland. CODA Australia has decided it will not be conducting KODA camps during 2012 and wishes to advise that it has not endorsed or given approval for any KODA camps to be conducted at any time during 2012 or at this stage, in the future under the CODA Australia banner. The work that the KODA subcommittee, of Liza Clews, Susan Emerson and Kylie Pickup, undertook during 2011 has been completed and the subcommittee is now no longer operational. It is our intention that after a review KODA camps will again be offered to the community. Any submissions relating to KODA activities that are endorsed by CODA Australia will appear on CODA Australia letterhead and official communications only. CODA Australia aims to abide by our own and CODA International’s policies and objectives and will continue to work closely with all Deaf organisations, schools and parenting programmes nationally. CODA Australia is an organisation run [...]
