PostHeaderIcon CODA Australia National Getaway - UPDATE

CODA Australia has had to change venues for the upcoming Getaway in October 2011.

GOCO will now be held at Komune Resort:

146 Marine Parade, Coolangatta, QLD 4225

Check it out online: www.komuneresorts.com

The OC have upgraded the accommodation venue at a more competitive price! The upgrade includes apartment style accommodation, each with ocean views and a balcony, exclusive use of a rock star VIP penthouse complete with flat screen plasma’s, day beds, and surround sound stereo, and the major draw card is the 8 person luxury hot tub situated right on the huge balcony overlooking the world famous surf break, the ‘Superbank’ up to Surfers Paradise, just to name a few features.

Be allured up the stairway to heaven into the penthouse function room, which we have booked for the entire weekend for our use.  Enjoy relaxing in the luxury 8 person hot tub, sipping some champagne whilst taking in the amazing 360 degree views over Tweed Harbour, Coolangatta and the skyline north towards Surfers Paradise.

GOCO is a weekend getaway for Codas over the age of 18 to get together and share the commonality of our 3 worlds – Deaf, hearing and Coda! We are proud of our identities and culture, so this is an opportunity to celebrate!

If you have registered for Greenmount and paid in full a refund of the balance will be issued on receiving your registration so please include you bank account details.

CODAS

CODAS. Children of Deaf Adults. There are deaf CODAS and hearing CODAS. Some can sign, some cannot. Some love having deaf parents. Some struggle while others may simply hate it. CODAS are a special and tough bunch. Read the rest of the story here: http://the-rebuttal.com/?p=1321

Thanks to the folk at The Rebuttal for understanding and valuing Codas!
